Arrive at 8:15 a.m. to check in and find your seat
Practice is mandatory to walk in the graduation line. Immediately after graduation practice, you must exit the building and grounds unless otherwise authorized by school administrators.

Date of Graduation: Thursday, May 25

Time:  4:00 pm @ the Dunn Center at APSU


Read this information carefully.....


Graduates will receive 10 tickets for graduation.   Tickets will be handed out after graduation practice.  All guests must have a physical ticket to get into the Dunn Center.   The only exception to this rule are babies.  

Dress Code/Attendance Check - 3:30 p.m.  Names will be pulled for those who have not arrived by this time.  You need to carry your gown into the Dunn Center.
Line-up - 3:50 p.m. (tunnel of Dunn Center – graduates only – NO guests)
 

Ladies are to wear a black skirt or black dress slacks with a white blouse or a black dress. The shoes must be black with a back strap. Gentlemen are to wear black pants, white dress shirt and tie, black dress shoes, and socks. NO tennis shoes, flip-flops, leggings or jeans are to be worn.   Violation of the dress code will result in not being allowed to participate in the ceremony.  If you have any questions concerning attire, see School Administrators no later than Friday, April 29. When you arrive at the Dunn Center, you will find your seat on the stadium floor.   All gowns will be carried into the stadium.   There are to be no guests on the stadium floor, unless they have approval for seating.  There is no place to keep personal items such as purses during the ceremony, have family hold those items for you during the ceremony. Graduation caps are to be positioned flat on the head. Use hairpins for securing in place. Tassels are to be worn on the right side of the cap. Caps cannot have decorations or writing on them. No one (family, friends, etc,) is allowed on the gym floor during or after the ceremony except graduates, CHS staff, and school system personnel involved in the ceremony. Photos/videos must be made from the seats. Highest Honors and Honors diploma cords, Academy cords and Ready Graduate cords are to be picked up in the Spirit Store until May 12th.  Students are responsible for picking cords up and for having them at the Dunn Center. Students who have not cleared school debts such as textbooks, library fees, JROTC fees, lunch charges, AP testing fees and computer fees by 8:30 am on Wednesday, May 24, will have their diploma held and will be unable to participate in the graduation practice and ceremony until all school matters have been cleared. Personal checks will not be accepted for school debts on the morning of May 24. If you need handicap accessibility for your guests, please see or email Lori Graves-Hirsch   lori.graves-hirsch@cmcss.net to get on the list..  Tickets will be exchanged after graduation practice.  Due to limited seating, additional family members will not be allowed to sit in the handicapped designated area. Senior Academic Awards Night is May 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the CHS gymnasium. Diplomas, report cards, and other school records may be picked up in the Front Office after graduation.  The dates will be announced.
